Perez once worked as a busboy at Sal’s Place and has always appreciated that employment opportunity. Recognizing that Sal’s Place and other local businesses were facing severe hardships brought on by the COVID-19 economic crisis, Perez began raising money to help keep the doors open. Salvatore Carrillo and Joseph Oberjosh, owners of Sal’s Place, were also honored by town officials for being good corporate citizens as they have sponsored many athletic teams and community events over the years.
