Man Arrested In Menacing

A Massapequa man was arrested on Aug. 13 at Sunrise Mall.

According to police, Brian Huber, 23, was opening packages at a hardware store with a hunting knife. After cops confronted him, Huber allegedly began fighting with the officers, causing them to fall into the aisle shelving. Huber then broke away and fled the mall. Huber then pulled a knife on a mall employee who confronted him before fleeing again and eventually being located by additional officers.

After a brief struggle, the polcie placed Huber under arrest. After a search, police found a knife, an XBox and batteries on Huber.

Huber is charged with second-degree menacing, petit larceny, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.
